There's also the Sea Life Carlsbad Aquarium and LEGOLAND Water Park on site. 

 

2. Visit SeaWorld San Diego

SeaWorld is known for its extravagant shows featuring ocean animals like sea lions, dolphins, and orcas. You'll also find aquariums filled with sea life and even a walk-through shark tank. You'll quickly realize that SeaWorld is an aquarium, zoo, theme park, and animal research facility, all wrapped up into one location encompassing almost 200 acres of Mission Bay. Your day will be filled with entertainment, education, curiosity, and adrenaline. Yes, even adrenaline! SeaWorld even has some of San Diego's most exciting rollercoasters for all ages, from young children up to thrill-seekers. 3. Spend the Day at the Beach

There's no shortage of sand; you'll find there are over 70 miles of beaches! You can take the family kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, boating, and even take a group surf lesson class. Spending time at the beach doesn't always require adventure; you can simply sit back, enjoy the sound of the crashing wave, and help the young ones build a sandcastle.

 

4. Visit the San Diego Zoo

If you're vacationing in San Diego, you can't leave without visiting our famous zoo! It provides endless entertainment for all ages and is regarded as one of the world's best zoological centers! There are over 12,000 endangered and rare animals representing over 650 species from koalas, kangaroos, elephants, gorillas, and plenty more! You can ride the aerial tram that takes you over the entire zoo giving you a bird's-eye view of all of the animals below. Your young ones will also enjoy the playground and petting zoo that lets them interact with sheep, goats, and other friendly animals. 

 

5. Explore the San Diego Botanical Garden

The San Diego Botanical Garden is a 37-acre garden consisting of four miles of trails with many different themed gardens. There are even gardens that are targeted towards kindergarten-age children and younger! They'll find buried plastic dinosaurs, playhouses, model railroad tracks, and much more! For older kids, there's a labyrinth, giant tic-tac-toe board, and treehouse to climb.
